Disclaimers and Store Policies

Green & White Cleaners exercises the utmost care in processing articles entrusted to us and uses industry standard processes, which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and condition of each individual item. Nevertheless, we assume no liability or responsibility for inherent weaknesses of or defects in all materials, including but not exclusively limited to suede, leather, silk, satin, double-faced fabric, vinyl and polyurethane, that are not readily apparent prior to processing. We cannot guarantee against color loss/bleeding and shrinkage or against damage to weak and tender fabrics. We assume no liability or responsibility for damage caused to items due to a manufacturing defect or failure, poor dye performance, mislabeling, a misleading representation in contravention of the Care Labeling of Textile Rules, an absence of a care label or an inability of the item to withstand normal dry cleaning and/or laundering and/or wet cleaning procedures. We will however, help you to facilitate a claim with the manufacturer, in the expressed cases where they may be at fault. We assume no liability or responsibility for damage caused to or by beads, buttons, buckles, zippers, belts, sequins, trim and ornaments.

All claims, including a claim for a lost item, must be made within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt or delivery of items and our invoice or claim check must be presented at the time the claim is made. Unless the items were accompanied by an itemized list, our count shall be accepted as definitive. If you believe that Green & White Cleaners is in possession of an item but we have no record of its pickup, we request that you inform us immediately so we can start an investigation and you can search at home. If, after seven (7) days, the item has not been found, we may compensate you for the loss of the item in accordance with the International Fair Claims ("IFC") Guide, at our discretion.

In the event of a claim for which Green & White Cleaners is responsible, including a claim of loss, we will either repair or issue you a refund or credit for the value of the garment, as specified in the IFC Guide.This guide takes into account the average life of the garment, depreciation for the age of the item, and the current replacement cost. If the customer is unable to document the age of a garment, the customer can attest to the age but Green & White Cleaners, at its sole discretion, may limit the minimum age of any garment to one year. If no current replacement cost is available (e.g., because the item is no longer available in stores), Green & White Cleaners may use the replacement cost of a comparable item currently available. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event shall our liability exceed twenty (20) times the charge of processing the item except for drapery and blinds whose limit of liability shall not exceed ten (10) times the charge of processing the item. A minimum of thirty (30) days should be allowed to settle any claim.

We are not responsible for items not picked up in over thirty (30) days.

In laundering, Green & White Cleaners is not responsible for any item(s), as wash and fold is processed by weight and not by garment count. As such items are not inspected, we therefore will not be responsible for any claims, including shrinkage, discoloring, runs, rips, tears, or any other damage. This also includes any item claimed loss or missing.

We guarantee that we will try our best to remove any stains present on your garment or article. However, we cannot guarantee 100 % stain removal. If we are unable to remove the stains, we are nonetheless entitled to receive full payment for services rendered.
